Victor Alchanatis is an agricultural engineer. He obtained his B.Sc, M.Sc. and D.Sc. in agricultural engineering from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. He spent two years at Texas A&M as a postdoc, and since 1995 he is a scientist at the Institute of Agricultural Engineering at ARO. Today, he is senior research scientist and the director of the Institute of Agricultural Engineering. His research interests are sensors for precision agriculture: hyperspectral and thermal imaging; computer vision; multispectral image processing.
